PERFORMANCE at Theatre of Yugen’s NOHSpace: January 31 – February 2
In this performance, the 10,000 things (a poetic description of everything under the sun, all possibility) take the form of 2 people meeting in the land between the living and the dead. They transform and encounter each other through various identities and phases, simultaneously as individuals and as archetypes.
By turns absurd and tender, exaggerated and subtle, they reach to connect, to cling, to struggle and collapse, in the necessary imperative to find release.
Dana and Shinichi Iova-Koga performing with direction from Jubilith Moore.
Dan Cantrell composing the music, Adria Otte designing the sound, Edward Schocker accompanying with Japanese Sho and Guitar, Allen Willner designing lights and Kaori Yamashita whispering in the wings.
A convergence of Butoh Dance, Noh Theater and Avant-garde theater traditions.

I just attended “Clouds from a Crumbling Giant” last night. It was fantastic. I had not seen Dana perform before. She was masterful last night. I’m still beaming from the performance. Thank you for this gift.
Thank you Chris for your positive feedback. Always good to hear about uplift.
