The Storm in My House (CANCELLED due to COVID-19.)
Friday May 22, 8:00 PM Saturday May 23, 3:00 PMSan Francisco International Arts Festival, Cowell Theater
The Storm in My House excavates the perceived lines between peoples, lands and values. We cannot know the outcome. We question and embody what can be done to survive, live in a home, be kind, play and embrace the changes that will come. We also ask for grace as we face the storm. Inside the performance you will find the song maker, the twisted dancer, the listener and the interplay of darkness and the light that defines it. There is despair. There is hope. Performed by Shinichi Iova-Koga, Kamerin McDonald and Suki O’Kane. Lighting by Allen Willner. Sets and Props by Frank Lee.
CANCELLED due to COVID-19. Stay tuned for a video version of the performance. -

Action Theater with Shinichi (CANCELLED due to COVID-19.)
10:00 - 16:00Western Sky Studio, Berkeley, CA
Each step, sound, word or action we generate extends an invitation to those around us, prompting a series of responses and interactions which become the flesh and bones of a new organism. Provided that we remain aware of this relationship, it lives. To craft this life, we play with timing and space while connecting to our internal feeling states. We learn to say “yes” to the unknown, allowing the situation to develop its own logic, personality and energy.
CANCELLED due to COVID-19. -

The training will encourage physical and mental receptivity as well as precise physical engagement. Build a coherent body ready to embrace the chaotic stream of the subconscious.
