Dao Yin at ImpulsTanz, Vienna
Dao Yin practices develop the elastic quality of connective body tissues to create a more resilient structure throughout the body. Pressure and expansion open the joints and spaces between the layers of the physical body, improving the efficiency of energy production. When the pathways of the body open, pathogenic Qi can leave the body and healthy Qi can circulate more efficiently.
This workshop will focus on Dao Yin forms that wind and unwind the tissues (fascia and muscles), focusing on the torso, to maintain energetic and physical mobility. To begin this process, correct alignment of the bones and effective sinking of body weight allows the soft, connective tissues to adapt through appropriate stress.
